The topmost gallery overlooking the new public piazza is for sure the mark of the MAXXI museum.
The rest of the building seems quite blank and unable to establish a connection with the urban context, probably because of the program changes due to budget restrictions.
Only the exterior of the West gallery is a pleasant surprise, with its narrow back passage where emergency exit stairs are lined up.
